Concrete Recycling and Use of Industrial By-products
نویسنده
چکیده
Concrete is a building material, which in many cases fulfills the requirements for high sustainability. Industrial by-products, e. g. fly ash or silica fume, are used for improving the fresh and hardened properties of concrete, blast furnace slag for cement production, but also concrete by itself can be used as aggregate to produce strong and durable concretes. In this contribution examples of usage of recycled concrete, reuse of concrete members as well as adding industrial by-products to concrete will be given. Economical and ecological aspects, e. g. sparing ressources and avoiding waste deposition, will be described as well as technical consequences concerning the influence on the concrete properties. However, if these are known, concretes will not only be strong but also very durable, leading to very sustainable concepts.

Concrete Debris Recycling, Environmental and Economic Effects
In this paper, first we identify the destruction ways of concrete constructions and the benefits of waste management and the plans to recycle the concrete debris were investigated and it was concluded that the existence of plans to recycle the concrete debris could lead to big economic save ups and by recycling these debris we can create affordable ways for concrete making centers. By the way, ...
متن کاملSustainable Concrete with Industrial and Post-Consumer By-Products
Concrete is a long-lasting and less energy consuming construction material than steel and Aluminum. However, the concrete industry is the single largest consumer of natural resources. Several places around the world are facing faster rates of depletion of the resources needed for the manufacturing of portland cement, mining of aggregates, and water for making concrete. Each one of these materia...

The Plastic Waste phenomenon, which is the result of increasing poly (ethylene terephthalate) production and the wide range PET consumption in different industries, caused one of the major environmental concerns. Therefore, many different ways have been studied and applied for chemical recycling of PET. One of the most important ways to depolymerize poly (ethylene terephthalate) is the aminolysi...
